Following an exceptionally warm and dry period end October to the beginning of November a number of forest/scrub fires have been reported in Bulgaria. Bulgaria's DG Civil Protection has triggered SAFER to map a fire in an area difficult to access, on the border between the townlands of Etropole and Teteven.
At this occasion, SAFER delivered several disaster extent maps showing the areas potentially burnt as well as areas with active fires or hot spot.
