Floods in Croatia - December 2010

Increased water inflow from storage lakes, snow melt and strong precipitation caused floods in various parts of Croatia in the beginning of December, 2010. Numerous roads and towns have been inundated. Among the most affected areas are the surroundings of Metkovic and of Perusic.

The SAFER's focal point was activated on 1 December 2010 by the National Protection and Rescue Directorate.

SAFER delivered two reference maps corresponding to the areas of Metkovic and Perusic and a few hours later, two disaster extent maps for the same areas.
