The Arctic is one of the areas on Earth that is most reactive to climate change. Ice in the Arctic forms and melts with the seasons - fluctuating from one year to another - and even more under the influence of a warming climate.
Modelling and forecasting Artic ice moves as well as its reaction to climate change are important issues for the scientists who try to better understand climate change.
The GMES marine service implemented by MyOcean helps monitoring the decrease of the arctic ice surface and its movements, as illustrated by the video available on the MyOcean website.
