On 1 December 2011, MyOcean release a smartphone application displaying ocean forecasts for water temperature, salinity and currents, for three depth levels. These forecasts are updated every day and cover a period of 5 days.
The application also includes a "multimedia corner" enabling users to watch videos and images based on the numerical models used in MyOcean. For instance, the application shows some of the most amazing ocean's features such as El Niņo phenomenon.
The next version of the application will be enriched with 3D views and will include more data on European regional seas.
The application can be downloaded free of charge from the App Store.
