The very first Innovation Convention organised by the European Commission took place in Brussels on 5/6 December. The MyOcean project was honoured to have been selected by the Directorate-General for Research & Innovation to be part of this outstanding event.
The Convention has brought together world's leading experts in research and innovation. More than 1200 visitors have attended the convention to listen to high level conferences, to attend workshops and to discover about 50 exciting research and innovation results being developed under European funding programmes (out of which MyOcean - FP7 Space).
At this occasion MyOcean exhibited "Your Ocean online". The project has welcome about 40 visitors from many domains (Management and Technology, Economics of Innovation, Transport, Scientists, Journalists, ...) who have discovered- and often been surprised- by the numerous areas of benefits of Myocean Products & Services.
Visitors have also enjoyed manipulating an interactive globe featuring Sea Surface temperatures over one year and openly appreciated the free access to the comprehensive MyOcean catalogue of products through the MyOcean web portal.
