When will GMES services be available?
The GMES services that are being developed through the 7th Framework Programme projects are currently in a pre-operational validation phase. They should enter into initial operations during the period 2011-2013, with the objective to be fully operational by 2014.
The availability of downstream services will depend on the maturity of the GMES services and on the business plans of future downstream providers.
