  • Snow covered area (SCA). This service addresses fractional snow cover during melting period . See link
  • Sea Surface water temperature (SST). This service monitors surface water temperature of the Baltic Sea and large lakes in Finland during the period May-November. See link
  • Algae blooms. This service measures the intensity of algae bloom in the Baltic Sea. See link
  • Water quality. This service monitors the turbidity of surface waters in the Gulf of Finland and the Bothnian Bay. See link
  • Land cover. This service provides a mapping of land use and land cover. See link

Others can be accessed through the portal of the Finnish Meteorological Institute (www.fmi.fi). These include:

  • UV Index (UVI) forecast. This service calculates indicators of the exposures to the ultraviolet radiation. See link
  • Meteosat animations & AVHRR products. These services provide polarstereographic projections.
  • Forest fire detection. This service provides alarms of detected fires over Finland.
